Business Comments:
I went to
school at San Juan College where I just finished my RE
degree in PV design and installation. I took a sabbatical during my studies to Africa
where I spent my 10th and 11th years in africa working with AECOM/PADCO, a USAID contractor, where I was a vocational skills training coordinator for
an ex-combatant rehab program. We had eight schools where I designed a
small PV system to help the school keep computer documents and light the
center with a 10kW generator back-up system which kept the battery bank
charged when school was in session and 250 Watts of PV helped to keep it
topped off when they were not.
I returned in July 2007 from a two month tour at five health centers in Rwanda supervising solar installation crew for off-grid installations financed through Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF).
I formerly worked for Solar Works in Sebastopol, Ca (Sept 2007- Jan 2009) as the installation manager and have recently been NABCEP and SunPower Design/Install certified.
I worked in Bamako, Mali (West Africa) as the Country Director for two country programs (Mali and Burkina Faso) from Jan 2009 to May 2011. KickStart’s mission is to help millions of people out of poverty. We promote sustainable economic growth and employment creation in Mali. Kickstart develops and promotes technologies that can be used by dynamic entrepreneurs to establish and run profitable small scale enterprises.
I've also worked for Positive Energy Solar in Las Cruces, New Mexico as the Designer/Materials and Project Manager (June 2011 - Aug 2013)
