Personal Comments:

My wife, Theresa, and I live downtown with our grid-tied PV system, wood stove, 2 dogs, 2 chickens, and cat. We've been converting diesels to run on used veggie oil for over 4 years; we currently have a converted 82 Benz 300D and 90 F350 (work truck). In addition to RE, I enjoy homebrewing organic beer, vegetable gardening, and exploring the NM outdoors.

Business Comments:

Positive Energy was founded in 1997 in Santa Fe, NM. I opened the company's first branch office, in Las Cruces, in July of 2007. Our Las Cruces office specializes in batteryless grid-tied PV systems, and we also offer grid-tied with battery back-up and off-grid PV systems. We are a SunPower Premier Dealer. I am currently the lead sales rep, system designer, and installer for the Las Cruces office. In our first year of installing systems in Las Cruces, we more than doubled the number of grid-tied PV systems in our utility's service area.

I am also active in renewable energy policy issues in New Mexico. In 2007, I was an intervenor in El Paso Electric's Renewable Energy Procurement Plan case before the NMPRC. The most significant outcome of that case was that EPE was ordered to pay $0.13/kWh for RECs, after proposing to pay $0.03/kWh.

I graduated from San Juan College in 2007 with a degree in Renewable Energy, Photovoltaic System Design and Installation emphasis. I also hold an M.S. in Biology and B.S. in Zoology.
