I'm a U.S. Navy veteran with over 30 years’ experience in the fields of electrical & electronic technology. In 1994, I founded Honey Electric Solar (HES) to specialize in professional solar energy systems (Solar Hot Water, Solar Pool Heating, and Photovoltaics) installations and service. Currently, my focus at HES is to maintain and service existing PV systems, while providing training to those who aspire to be PV professional. I'm a NC Licensed Electrical Contractor and NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional.
As an Adjunct Professor, I've taught both Into and Advanced PV classes, Commercial Electrical Wiring, and the National Electrical Code within the North Carolina Community College System. At Solar Energy International (SEI), I teach in-person and online PV classes, focusing on battery based PV systems.
