Mr. Sirum has been actively working and teaching in the renewable energy field for over 15 years. He has trained and apprenticed under some of the first PV Master Trainers and has designed and installed hundreds of permitted, code compliant systems. Mr. Sirum apprenticed under Richard Gottlieb of Sunny Side Solar, Guilford, VT before moving on to co-found Pioneer Valley PhotoVoltaics Co-op, Inc. of Greenfield, MA and New Britain, CT [AKA (PV)² or PV Squared] in 2003. He has worked to help create the Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency program at Greenfield Community College where he has also taught and presented in a variety of capacities. Since late 2010 Mr. Sirum has been serving a number of entities and projects as an independent consultant in the United States as well as pursuing renewable energy work internationally. His scope of offerings include both "hands-on" installation services as well as design engineering and related activities. Attention to details, specific project goals, and Earth Stewardship are fundamental attributes he brings to each project he serves.
