Business Comments: I do not own the company but have been employed by them since 2008. Independent Power started in Bozeman, MT around 1996 installing primarily off-grid systems. The owner, Tony B., moved to Boulder, CO in 2006 adding a branch out here. Boulder has been installing primarily grid-tied systems up until 2013 when we experienced a 1000yr flood and customers realized that GT with battery back-up was what their systems needed. Since my start with IPS, I have installed the electrical portion and performed grid interconnection. In 2010, I took over as the Service Technician and Monitoring System Expert.
